Registration for the Apple Pi Run is open!

November 3, 2019 9am-12pm at the Natick High School Track Rain or Shine, so dress your kids appropriately! All Natick elementary school students (K -4) are invited to participate in a fun-filled day of races, field day events, and other fun activities. This family event will be on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 9am to 12pm, with separate running events for each grade. Johnson’s PAWMart is open for business!

This fall, Johnson Elementary School was awarded an NEF grant to start a school store, led by fourth grade Title One math students. We are happy to announce that PAWmart, which sells school supplies and gear, is now open for business! PAWmart was a HUGE success this week! Students from every class were able to shop during their lunch block. The PAWmart team, accompanied by the entire fourth grade class, worked at the store this week greeting customers, taking orders, calculating change, and providing receipts. As Dr. Nolin posted on Twitter, “Mrs. Dannin was teaching and the students didn’t know it.” Johnson […]

MAY MINI-GRANT WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Congratulations to May’s Mini-Grant winners, Wilson Middle School student Reid Jackson and Principal Teresa Carney Wilson Middle School Courtyard Chess Set $450.00 This proposal was written and submitted by a student and supported by the school principal. The grant will support the construction of a large-scale outdoor chess board, as well as the chess pieces, to be installed in the Wilson Middle School courtyard. The set will be used by students as an alternate outdoor activity during lunch, after school, and at other free times. In celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week (May 8-12, 2017), NEF is thrilled to uplift and congratulate the 9 Natick educators who have been selected as the 2017 NEF Master Teacher Fellows. These NEF Teachers Fellows will serve 1-year fellowships modeling exemplary teaching practice in the Natick Schools. They have chosen an instructional area around which to focus their instructional modeling and coaching in the district. They will each a design modeling and coaching experience with a minimum of either 8 coaching hours or 4 professional development presentations and 4 coaching hours.
